Metanews: In New York, a crystal ball with 32,000 lights descended at midnight, setting off a wild and noisy confetti-filled New Year's celebration. Nearly a million revellers crowded New York's Time Square to witness the traditional dazzling ball drop and welcome in the new year. The crowd hollered as a ball with 32-thousand lights descended in the run-up to midnight local time (0500 GMT). The celebration took place just days after a blizzard paralysed the city and amid security concerns eight months after a Pakistani immigrant tried to detonate a car bomb in Times Square. Police had a strict security plan in place, with sealed manhole covers, counter-snipers on rooftops and checkpoints for partygoers.

Abu Dhabi's Mubadala Investment Co. y Qatar Investment Authority están interesados en comprar participaciones minoritarias en equipos de la NBA.

Trailer Itadaki Street 30 aniversario Final Fantasy & Dragon Quest

Dragon Quest Builders 2 - Análisis en video

Os ofrecemos un análisis en vídeo de Dragon Quest Builders 2 para PS4 y Nintendo Switch. En este gameplay exclusivo del juego de Square-Enix se pueden apreciar las características principales de esta secuela que encuentra un equilibrio perfecto entre los elementos de RPG propios de la saga y aspectos de construcción tomados de juegos como Minecraft. En Builders 2, nosotros podemos crear a nuestro constructor y embarcarnos en una colosal aventura, acompañados de Malroth "el destructor".

Entre las novedades que incorpora Dragon Quest Builders 2 respecto al juego original, que apareció en 2016, encontramo la posibilidad de bucear y volar (utilizando un frenaviento como en The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild), montar sobre determinadas criaturas además de crear nuevos objetos y materiales. Pero sin duda el plato fuerte de la nueva entrega está en la inclusión de un modo multijugador online para 4 amigos. No podremos jugar la campaña en equipo, pero este modo nos permitirá invitarles a que visiten nuestra isla del despertar o visitar las suyas, además de compartir las fotografías que tomemos durante el juego. 

Como las anteriores entregas de Dragon Quest, podremos disfrutar del diseño de criaturasy personajes de Akira Toriyama (creador de series como Dragon Ball o Dr. Slump) y una espectacular banda sonora de Koichi Sugiyama.

Gameplay Dragon Quest XI S en Nintendo Switch

La fecha de lanzamiento de Dragon Quest XI S para Switch será el próximo 27 de septiembre. Y si se ha "bautizado" como Edición Definitiva no es por casualidad. En Gamepolis 2019 hemos tenido la ocasión de probar una nueva demo del juego (a puerta cerrada) y descubrir alguna de las características adicionales que incorpora respecto al juego de PS4 que pudimos jugar hace algo menos de un año. 

Aunque evidentemente el juego no alcanza el nivel gráfico del original (especialmente por problemas de resolución y distancia de dibujado), a cambio los usuarios de la consola de Nintendo podrán disfrutar con historias adicionales para los protagonistas, con visitas a mundos de anteriores reinos de la saga Dragon Quest (cuyos héroes están a punto de llegar a Smash Bros Ultimate), y especialmente con la posibilidad de cambiar el aspecto visual y jugar con gráficos 2D, como si fuese un juego de 16 bits. 

En la demo que Nintendo nos ha permitido jugar, hemos podido explorar una pequeña zona del mapa y librar combates aleatorios (estaba limitado para no revelar partes de la historia), pero lo más llamativo es que hemos podido experimentar con el salto gráfico. Para pasar de un aspecto 3D al estilo clásico, debemos acudir a las iglesias y hablar con una monja (la partida se salva de modo automático).

Dragon Quest XI S es la última aventura de Yuji Horii publicada por Square Enix  y con diseños de Akira Toriyama (creador de Dragon Ball). Supone la culminación de los más de treinta años de la saga, y también el regreso de la saga a su vertiente más tradicional, con un sistema de combate por turnos, elementos estratégicos y una historia épica que transcurre en el mundo de Edrea, protegido por un héroe legendario conocido como el Luminario, el elegido de Yggdrasil.
